Join me in collaboration with Honolulu Hiking Club to celebrate National Hiking Day! We will celebrate by hiking Makapu’u Lighthouse Trail on Sunday, November 17, 2024 where I will be pointing out and giving short descriptions of some of the edible and invasive plants along the trail. Afterwards, we will celebrate by enjoying some cocktails I’ve prepared from invasive ingredients found along this trail! Drinks will include the “Night Bloomer,” which features Vodka, Dragonfruit, and Calamansi from my yard, and the “Slippah Killah,” which features Whiskey, Kiawe Bean Tea, and Cinnamon Leaf Demerara Syrup gathered from Nu’uanu Valley.
