Calamansi Margarita
A refreshing citrus-forward cocktail with tequila, salt, and the sweet-tart flavors of calamansi.
How to make a Calamansi Margarita:
Step 1: Gather your ingredients. You will need:
Tequila: (any tequila will work, but I personally prefer a blanco, such as Fortaleza or Patròn).
Orange Liqueur: Most margaritas are made with tequila, lime, simple syrup, and an orange liqueur. Some of the preferred liqueurs are Cointreau, Triple Sec, or Grand Marnier. If you want your margarita with a slight kick to it, Ancho Reyes Chile Liqueur is a great alternative.
Lime Juice
Mōhala Expressions Calamansi Simple Syrup
Salt
Step 2: Build Your Cocktail
Combine 1.5oz of tequila, .75oz of lime juice, .5oz of orange liqueur, and .75oz of Mōhala Expressions Calamansi Simple Syrup.
Rim a glass of your choice with lime juice, then salt.
Shake combined ingredients in a cocktail shaker with ice. Pour into salt rimmed glass and garnish with a lime wedge.
